Professional Subtitling for Film, Festivals, and Cultural Projects

Subtitles that respect rhythm, voice, and the viewing experience. I collaborate with filmmakers, production companies, festivals, and cultural institutions preparing works for international screenings, submissions, and distribution.
At Subtexto, subtitling is treated as both a technical and editorial process.
Beyond accuracy, the goal is to ensure that:
  • Subtitles read naturally.
  • They match the pacing of the film.
  • And preserve the tone of the original dialogue, allowing the work to travel across languages without losing identity.

  • Subtitling for fiction, documentary, and animation feature and short films, prepared for festival submissions and international screenings.

  • Delivery in standard formats required by festivals and post-production workflows.

Distribution & Platform-Ready

  • Subtitles for online releases and digital platforms.

  • Adaptable files to different technical specifications.

  • QC to ensure readability and synchronization.

  • Version management for multiple language releases.

Closed Captions & SDH

  • SDH (Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing).

  • Closed captions including relevant sound information.

  • Adaptation for accessibility guidelines when required by festivals or distributors.

Subtitle Revision and Quality Check

  • Review of existing subtitle files.

  • Correction of timing, segmentation, and reading speed.

  • Language revision for clarity, tone, and consistency.

  • Final QC before submission or screening.

Good subtitles should never be noticed — only understood.

My subtitling work follows international audiovisual translation practices, and I am a member of Subtle, the international association of screen translators.

My Work with Film Festivals

Did you know? For the last 4 years, I collaborated with Argentina's International Human Rights Film Festival, the International Environmental Film Festival, and the Latin Arab International Film Festival, leading their Translation and Subtitling teams.

I coordinate the volunteer work, oversee subtitle delivery, and ensure films are prepared for international audiences and screening requirements.

Working with Cultural Projects

With over ten years working in film, festivals and international cultural programs, I understand how subtitles function not only as translation — but as part of a project’s public presentation.

I take care of the subtitles behind the scenes, so your project can move confidently into screenings, submissions, and international circulation.
